Blue Things

Blue things is an experimental cyanotype project combining analogue photography, mono printing and watercolour techniques.

Exploring water ecologies, this series centred around the cyanotype as a materially engaged process, reflecting the images of water within the washing and drying process used to develop the images. Utilising salt, freeform wet on wet techniques, suminagashi, and fractal printing, an selective elements of chance were implemented across the paper, and let to co-create the image alongside the artistic hand.
